Abandoned Projects

Like a lot of people, I've started a lot of stuff that I've never finished. Whether it is because I got bored, changed my mind or just simply gave up, there are quite a lot of half-finished things I have left lying around. Well, I've decided not to leave them hanging around any longer, cos I'm gonna show you how far I got with them.

2059

An animation revolving around me and my friends 50 years in the future. The earlier animation, 2058, was completed and is available on the private CRABS page (only my personal friends can access it though.) In this video, you'll see the only near-finished scenes I made (still lacking in detail and featuring a lot of placeholder graphics but it's watchable.) The segment in the video revolves around a purple ninja's attempt to steal a DNA sample of Tom from his company building (Tom is me, by the way) in order to bring him back to life (I killed myself off in 2058.) The rest of the animation would have had a crazy, epic storyline, but in the end I got bored and scrapped it. Oh well. You can download some detailed plans for both 2058 and 2059 here, although online fans won't understand the jokes.

INDIANA JONES IN SPACE

Ah yes, Indiana Jones in Space. I got the idea for this one almost immediately after seeing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I wanted to parody the *spoilers* far-fetched climactic UFO scene by making a story about an even older Indiana Jones as the first man in space in the 60s. Just think- a classic Indy story built around the 'space race' of the 60s. Ridiculous, yes. If you're watching this, George, please don't get any funny ideas...

So why did I stop making this? Well, for one thing I already had my hands full in Spring 2008 making Stupid Mario 3 and my website. Soon after, other parodies of Crystal Skull began appearing everywhere (anybody remember that South Park episode?), I was having trouble thinking of good jokes to compete with other people, and the voice acting was not going well.

Anyway... the music here was made by simply swapping instruments on a midi file using Garageband. You can download the full mp3 here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6E0EQ7Z5

MORE ABANDONED PROJECTS TO BE REVEALED SOON...

In the meantime, there are a lot of older abandoned projects over on the ancient flashes page.
