Surely not? I'm a 3D artist now? Well... no, I'm not. But I have messed around on this Mac-only 3D program called 'Cheetah 3D' to learn how to make some fairly basic 3D ah... things. So, on this page, I'll just be showing off some of my random 3D stuff, and I'll be adding new stuff as I make it.
EXHIBIT A: Le tank
OO yeh, you see, I now have proof that if there was ever a battle between the Newgrounds tank and my own '53' tank, my tank would win hands down. Why? Because mine is now 3D, and Newgrounds' is 2D. That's a logical reason to me.
Anyway, as you can probably tell, I put more effort into this model than the others on this page, and even though the basic 'geometry' of the 3D model is apparent, does it really need to be more detailed? It matches my original 2D design, that's for sure!
By the way, it's not as hard as it looks (to make these 3D models.)
EXHIBIT B: Star Wars models
As if you hadn't noticed, my Star Wars game features landscapes that appear to move past in 3D. That's probably because, well, they are 3D. Very basic though- just flat panels of textures that I just moved at a steady rate past the 'camera' -or in the case of the death star interior- just a cylinder tube. But still, I think it was more effective than trying to do it in 2D. Play the game if you want to see it in motion.
One more thing, I also had a go with making a 3D TIE fighter to use for the game, as you can see below, but I decided it was too much to bother with. Plus it looks really wonky.
EXHIBIT C: No comment. I actually have no idea what the hell this was supposed to be.
